Tuesday, December 30 @ 6pm
Join us for part 7 of our 10 part wine seminar series where we uncork the stories behind 80 iconic wines from the world’s most celebrated regions.
Shortly after the discovery of the "New World" Conquistadors and Missionaries rushed to bring wine grapes to this wild and untamed land. The first place grapes were established was in modern day Chile in the 1530's. From this launching point, grapes made their way across the Andes to (modern day) Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico, and into the United States. In this session, we'll follow the wine grape's humble beginnings in Chile through to North America and discover the grapes and regions that owe their roots in the Americas to these early pioneers.

French Wine Foundations Series Season 2:
#7 - Alsace
Tuesday, Jan 13th @ 6:00 pm
Tucked in the upper Northeast corner of France, Alsace as a compicated past. Fortunately, its wines and appellations are uncomplicated and amazing, showing off depth and complexity in contrast to what should be a cold, difficult place to grow wine grapes (but isn't...) Jopin us for a 90+ minute taste-and-learn discussion of Alsace and its "Noble" wines and why the grapes here bathe in warmth and sun despite the relatively high northern latitude.

Who was James Busby and why do they call it Shiraz?
Tuesday, January 27 @ 6pm
Join us for part 8 of our 10 part wine seminar series where we uncork the stories behind 80 iconic wines from the world’s most celebrated regions.
In the 1830's a young viticulturist and politician from Scotland made his way to the far reaches of the British Empire in the South Pacific. Among the important items he brought with him on his journey were cuttings of wine grapes from the warm mediterranean region of the Southern Rhône on a hunch they might thrive in the warm Australian farmlands. His hunch paid off and Australia (and New Zealand) have since grown to become world class wine regions. Join us for the story of James Busby's founding of two incredible wine regions on the other side of the world and the wines that captivate enthusiasts around the globe.
